Juniors - Preparation for college applications is underway
There are many aspects contributing to your successful placement in colleges and universities. The best way to prepare yourself for a very challenging senior year is to learn effective time management and stay informed. We all advise you to spend the remaining junior year informing yourself as much as possible.
Here are a few tips that are going to help you:
Attend the weekly college research sessions. At these sessions you will get the answers to all the questions you might have about general college application process, choosing right colleges, planning your time, etc.
Attend all college visits. Keep your eyes open for announcements about the visits of representatives of different colleges and universities. At these meetings you can get information about the visiting schools and college enrollment process in general.
Attend SAT prep. You will meet with the English Department teachers once a week to practice for the SAT Verbal Section. You’ll become familiar with the structure of the test, acquire different techniques of dealing with certain types of questions, and practice writing actual tests. |
